Welcome to the Food Waste Forum
Did you know that approximately one-third of all food is wasted?
If that food were saved it could feed over 3,400,000,000 people.
In Europe alone, we waste enough food to feed another 200 million people.
Food waste doesn’t just leave people hungry, it also wastes huge amounts of water and significantly contributes to CO2 emissions.
Scientists and governments worldwide are working together to create innovative technologies and policies to make food production and transportation more efficient, but every one of us can help by making a few simple changes to the ways we cook and eat.
The aim of the Food Waste Forum is to be a collaborative space where consumers, producers and experts can share ideas and create new solutions to bring us closer to the goal of being a food-waste-free society.
