Easy Ice Cream for Happy Summer Days

Finally, summer has arrived.  Long days, warm evenings, al-fresco dining and fun in the great outdoors…

To celebrate, here are some healthy and almost-too-simple recipes for ice cream. They’re easy, healthy and a great way to sneak extra portions of fruit into kids’ diets.


  • 4 frozen bananas
  • 5 tsp cocoa powder


  • 4 frozen bananas
  • 1 1/2 tsp matcha powder
  • 1 or 2 drops of sweetener

  • 4 frozen bananas
  • 1/2 tsp of cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp ginger


  • 4 frozen bananas
  • A spring of fresh mint
  • 2 tbsp smashed dark chocolate pieces


  1. Add all of your ingredients into your blender and blitz until smooth.
  2. Serve and eat immediately


  1. If your ice cream is a little too soft, put the mixture into the freezer for a few minutes to firm.
  2. Jazz up your ice cream with chopped nuts, sprinkles or a drizzle of honey.
